Blackdown Acapella was formed in October 2021 by Kirstie Spencer and Zelda Gray.
They chose a founding management team and together decided the vision and values the chorus would hold:

Team spirit

Performance
Since its conception, the management team members have changed and grown along with the chorus members, but the same underpinning values have remained, with Kayleigh becoming Blackdown Acapella's Musical Director in 2025.
We also have support and guidance from LABBS - the Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers who host the annual LABBS Convention where Blackdown Acapella compete against other national choruses each year.
Today, Kayleigh and Zelda (Chair) steer the Blackdown Acapella ship... together with the support of the current management and music teams!
